As he often boats, over the past year alone, 2 Chainz made more money than he ever made when he was with Ludacris’ DTP Records. During his time with DTP Records, 2 Chainz was one half of Playaz Circle, with Tity Boi and Dolla Boy. With Playaz Circle being one of the background members of the label, 2 Chainz as Tity Boi was not much of a star.
Given his age, his finances and his celebrity connections, most people would have settled for the status Tity Boi had as a rapper. First off, he realized his name may shut some doors, so one of his first decisions was to change his name to 2 Chainz. Starting with the name change, 2 Chainz began working with the likes of Rick Ross, Kanye West, and Drake, along with many others.
One year and a successful debut album later, 2 Chainz is considered one of the biggest rappers in the game with a Def Jam partnership. As one of the most-requested rappers in the game, it was clear 2 Chainz would be performing at Howard University’s homecoming for 2012. Using the cameras to showcase everything, 2 Chainz had a camera following his homecoming weekend.
