Nelly and entourage arrested and released over drug possession

Since the release of O.E.M.O., Nelly has remained relatively quiet. One of the biggest artists in the first decade of the 2000s, Nelly has taken time away from the rap game. Focusing more on his business ventures, at one point Nelly was a minority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. But, the recent business focus of Nelly has been his music.

With the new model of the music industry, artists now make the bulk of their money on the road, performing shows. Nelly has been on the road, performing at numerous venues. During his Texas swing, Nelly briefly found himself in hot water. After being pulled over in Sierra Blanca, Nelly’s tour bus was found having marijuana and a loaded gun.

A few hours ago, the internet was buzzing, as it looked as if Nelly was going to prison. It would be the second consecutive day a rapper was arrested. Yesterday, Gunplay turned himself in and is facing major time. Things looked bad for Nelly until a member of his entourage, Brian Keith Jones took the wrap for the crimes, as reported by TMZ.
