For close to a decade, Red Cafe has been on the brink of becoming rap’s next major star, appearing on NBA Live 2004 and many other soundtracks. In 2009, Red Cafe would sign with Bad Boy Records. Red Cafe has been signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik for several years and the Bad Boy deal helped to expand his profile.

While Red Cafe has endured the politics of other labels for several years, he is also a boss in his own right. Red Cafe is the head of his own Shakedown movement, which has also become highly popular in the streets of New York. Hollywood Haiti is among the artists signed to the Shakedown label.

During the summer, Hollywood Haiti released a series of new songs. Ironically, Hollywood Haiti would heat the streets up with his “Ice Cold” single. The music video for “Ice Cold” was released back in June. Boasting a Fabolous sample, the song was one of the biggest summer hits in the streets.
