A few hours ago, news broke of “106 & Park” airing its final episode on September 21, sending the internet into a frenzy. Launched back in September of 2000, “106 & Park” has become a staple in urban media. Many of the biggest rappers in the game, over the past twelve years, have premiered their music videos on “106 & Park.”

BET faced criticism for years over its programming. While fans were upset with all the music videos, “106 & Park” was an undeniable hit. Regardless of what critics had to say about BET, they could not credit the impact “106 & Park” was having. Many feared this impact would be over, as Terrence J and Rocsi are leaving.

However, the news of “106 & Park’s” cancellation has come prematurely. Instead of being cancelled, the show will tribute Terrence J and Rocsi on September 21. But, on the date of October 1, the show will introduce new hosts. Terrence J and Rocsi served as co-hosts of “106 & Park” for six years.
