Missy Elliott releases full version of “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat” single with Timbaland

There was once a period of time when Missy Elliott was one of the biggest figures in hip hop, releasing a new album every year. Once her contracted ended, Missy Elliott no longer released new albums. Working on so many projects every year, Missy Elliott decided to go on a hiatus following her 2005 album.

In 2007, Missy Elliott began making steps toward a comeback. Missy Elliott produced the hit Keyshia Cole single, “Let it Go,” which also features Lil’ Kim. Originally, Missy Eliott planned to release her Block Party in 2008. The album was delayed until the entire project was shelved.

Missy Elliott leaked a sample of her “9th Inning” single with Timbaland. Earlier today, the official single was released. Making up for the lost time, Missy Elliott offers a two for one for her fans. Along with the release of the full version of “9th Inning,” Missy Elliott has also released “Triple Threat,” also featuring Timbaland.
