Last year, French Montana enjoyed a strong mixtape run. French Montana and the Coke Boys began their mixtape run in 2007 and gained momentum every year. Eventually, French Montana would sign with Bad Boy Records. Currently, the brightest new artist from New York City, French Montana has his debut album on the way.

While French Montana is now a major label artist, the Coke Boys are still making names for themselves as individuals. Coke Boy Brock has began a strong run of his own, comparable to the run of French Montana last year. This year, Coke Boy Brock has released four mixtapes, with the latest being The Blackout 2, hosted by DJ Diggz and DJ Lust.

Last weekend, Coke Boy Brock and the rest of the Coke Boys partied in Atlantic City, celebrating the success of The Blackout 2. Now, the official mixtape release party for the mixtape will take place at B.B. Kings at New York City in Manhattan. The event takes place tomorrow night.
