Nostalgic fans were hopeful Beanie Sigel would have the fortune of getting his business affairs together and re-starting his career. Beanie Sigel, after a five year hiatus, released his comeback album, This Time. However, the announcement of the album came days after news broke of his upcoming two year prison sentence.

Beanie Sigel knew he was heading to prison, but he was not going to let it stop him from releasing his album. Former collaborator, Ja Rule, expressed the same sentiments when he released his last album from prison. For Beanie Sigel, his situation worsened, when he was caught with drugs and a gun in his possession, immediately being arrested.

Upon his arrest, Beanie Sigel immediately began his prison term. This has disappointed fans, as State Property and Roc-A-Fella reunited at Jay-Z’s Made in America Festival. With the event taking place in Philadelphia, it is a major nod to history. AllHipHop.com caught up with Freeway, who spoke on this during their conversation.

Freeway said it was very unfortunate, but was confident Beanie Sigel would get through it. Meanwhile, Freeway reunited on stage with his former partners in rhyme, Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, and Kanye West.
