50 Cent talks “New Day” single with Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys [VIDEO]

Clearly, 50 Cent has come a long way since his early years in the rap game. Once a favorite at Interscope Records, 50 Cent has engaged in a hostile relationship with them over the past five years. Much of this has to do with the feuds he engaged in with label-mate Game and the strain on the relationship with Dr. Dre.

Since 2010, 50 Cent has been trying to release his fifth studio album, but has had trouble securing a release date. It seemed as if 50 Cent established a new deal for himself when news broke of his deal with EMI. However, 50 Cent still owes one more album to Interscope Records.

After 50 Cent self-released his 5 (Murder by Numbers) album, Interscope Records scheduled his Street King Immortal album. The first single off the album was revealed to be “New Day,” which features Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys. Days after 50 Cent released the song, Alicia Keys released her own version of the song, sans 50 Cent, throwing people off. Since then, 50 Cent has sat down for several interviews, speaking on this.
