For well over a year, Lupe Fiasco has been back in the spotlight and many have turned to him for his input on social issues and hip hop. With his next album, Food & Liquor II, on the way, Lupe Fiasco has conducted several interviews. During an interview last month, Lupe Fiasco revealed he was unimpressed with the efforts of 2 Chainz, despite his relationship with Kanye West.

Last year, Lupe Fiasco made his comeback, taking over the charts, while still managing to remain true to himself with his “Words I Never Said” single. During this period of time, many artists from the Los Angeles area were emerging. Kendrick Lamar enjoyed much success last year, working with Game and Dr. Dre, and receiving critical acclaim. Now exposed to a bigger audience, Kendrick Lamar is being touted as the next big lyricist.

Hard Knock TV spoke to Lupe Fiasco, considered by many as one of the most lyrical rappers in the game. When they spoke, Lupe Fiasco discussed Kendrick Lamar, the Occupy movement, which Russell Simmons and Kanye West were heavily involved in, along with Jay-Z. One of the more political figures in hip hop, many were eager to hear the Lupe Fiasco responses.
