Despite signing Jae Millz, Cory Gunz, and Nicki Minaj to Young Money, Lil Wayne has less than spectactular feelings about New York City. Three years ago, Jay-Z created an anthem for the city with “Empire State of Mind.” The song became one of the biggest hits of 2009, a time when the subliminal feud between Jay-Z and  Lil Wayne re-ignited.

While Lil Wayne has laid off his Jay-Z disses, his latest statement may offend the Roc Nation boss, or not. This year, Lil Wayne has taken a backseat to his artists, but was very vocal at the start of the summer. In addition to his Pusha T diss, Lil Wayne pulled Young Money out of Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam after Nicki Minaj was called out by Peter Rosenberg.

Lil Wayne spoke on this and the concert Young Money held in New York City, which was intended to make it up to fans when MTV News caught up with him. During his interview, Lil Wayne revealed his exact feelings toward New York City. “Flat out, I don’t like New York City” is exactly what Lil Wayne had to say about the Big Apple.

Five years ago, Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were both arrested in New York City, after doing a video shoot together.
