Mixtapes are the new demos in many ways, allowing artists to release albums without being confined to the rules of a major label. Many artists have found much success through releasing mixtapes, many touring off the mixtape tracks. One of the biggest mixtape singles out comes from New York City in the form of Cliff Po’s “Trillz.”
The music video for “Trillz” has done over 20,000 YouTube views and Cliff Po feels his future will be even brighter. More than a simple mixtape rapper from New York City, Cliff Po is also making a name for himself as a video director. Recently, Cliff Po found himself directing a music video for an artist who remade his “Trillz” music video.
In a twist of irony, Cliff Po directed a remake of his best-known single. The song was remixed by a rising New Jersey artist, Avarex. It turns out the two artists do indeed know each other, but it was still a bit ironic for Cliff Po to be called upon to direct a video for his own song. A few days ago, the video was released.
