Seven years ago, Keyshia Cole burst onto the scene and immediately filled the angry R&B songstress void. Keyshia Cole enjoyed success following her breakout single, “I Should’ve Cheated.” The song only proved to be the first of many offerings from Keyshia Cole. From 2005 through 2008, Keyshia Cole was one of the biggest names in R&B.
During her run, Keyshia Cole also became the face of BET, starring in “Keyshia Cole: The Way it Is,” which introduced the world to her mother, Frankie, and her sister, Neffe. Their appearances on the show led to their own spin-off, “Frankie & Neffe.” Keyshia Cole decided to end her reality series in 2009, as she built her family with Cleveland Cavaliers’ player, Daniel Gibson.
With her previous album being overlooked, Keyshia Cole is coming back strong, with Lil Wayne on the first single, “Enough of Love.” DJ Whoo Kid caught up with Keyshia Cole, who discussed her married life as an actual basketball wife. During the interview, Keyshia Cole also spoke on working with Lil Wayne, a possible relation to Snoop Dogg, wanting to sign with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records, and more.
