Machine Gun Kelly was one of the many popular mixtape rappers to wind up with a record deal in 2011. Instead of following the trend and heading over to Maybach Music with Rick Ross and company, Machine Gun Kelly signed with Bad Boy Records. Diddy has a renewed focus on his label and a new partner in Interscope Records.
Working a year on the label, continuing to release mixtape tracks, Machine Gun Kelly recently revealed his debut album was on the way. Lace Up is the name of his debut album and it will be released on October 9. Interscope Records has several October albums on the way, with Kendrick Lamar dropping on October 2.
Before Machine Gun Kelly releases his new album, he will release another mixtape, which he will call EST 4 Life. The mixtape does not yet have a release date, but it will be hosted by DJ Whoo Kid, DJ E-V, and DJ Xplosive. Expect the project to come before the end of September.
