Atlanta is firmly back in the mix of the hip hop scene. Much of this success has come from the string of hit singles from 2 Chainz, Future, and Ca$h Out. What has gone overlooked, however, is who produced the bulk of these hits. In Atlanta, DJ Spinz is much more than a mixtape figure, he has produced several hits.
Early this year, Ca$h Out turned to DJ Spinz and he produced “Cashin’ Out.” Despite the song being released in the middle of the winter, “Cashin’ Out” has become one of the biggest singles of the summer. Ca$h Out finds himself one of the biggest new artists in the game and has many more singles on the way.
DJ Spinz recently spoke to HipHopDX.com about the success of “Cashin’ Out.” Though he is from Augusta, DJ Spinz is the head of the “New Atlanta” movement. When DJ Spinz was asked how he felt about the success of the single, he credited the Atlanta strip clubs for turning the song into what it has become. Because of his mixtape background, working with Gucci Mane and these other artists has been rather easy.
