Curren$y explains delay of “Live in Concert” mixtape with Wiz Khalifa

Though both artists have released successful albums, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa have made names for themselves through their mixtapes. From different areas, Curren$y in New Orleans, and Wiz Khalifa in Pittsburgh, the two have a strong working relationship. Recently, the two announced they were working on a joint mixtape, Live in Concert.

Anticipation has been high for Live in Concert, as two of the biggest mixtape rappers in the game came together. Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa have released several underground classics through their mixtapes. Both emcees’s hardcore fan base has followed them from their mixtapes to the albums they have released.

Already with numerous collaborations under their belt, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa have decided to put out their joint effort. However, the project will not be coming as soon as they previously anticipated. Curren$y spoke on the delay, via Twitter, reasoning the project would be delayed allowing time for the samples to clear.
