The album has been very well-received and has added to the legacy of Rick Ross. Almost out of nowhere, Rick Ross has become the most-popular rapper in the game, but his entire plan was mapped out years ago.
Not so long ago, Lil Wayne was considered by many as the most-popular rapper out, building his buzz through his mixtapes. Rick Ross’ plan, however, had a deeper strategy behind it, as he planned to also develop talent under him. The first phase in his plan included a high-profile feud with 50 Cent, which made Rick Ross into a household name.
Once he had the attention of the hip hop world, Rick Ross introduced his music, Maybach Music, and the lifestyle that comes with it. Rick Ross not only has a roster full of talent, he has his own team of videographers documenting every move made. Earlier today, Rick Ross talked to Al Lindstrom and he discussed starting his own video team and what comes next for Maybach Music.
