Behind the combined efforts of Machine Gun Kelly and French Montana, the legendary Bad Boy Records has returned to prominence. Though Diddy will remain a central figure in hip hop, his label was an afterthought. However, with many record deals taking place, Diddy was right there in the mix, close to landing Maybach Music.
While Diddy missed out on landing Rick Ross and company, he did sign the popular mixtape rapper from Cleveland, Machine Gun Kelly. The signing went overlooked, but he pulled off the deal of the year when he signed French Montana. In 2012, his earlier signing begun to show signs of life.
Machine Gun Kelly established himself as a star, immediately earning the support and respect of DMX. The two have worked closely together, as Machine Gun Kelly prepares his Lace Up album. An hour ago Machine Gun Kelly announced, via Twitter, his new album would be released on October 9.
