Pusha T talks working with Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music in Complex interview

Two summers ago, Pusha T went solo and signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, joining a roster of talented artists. After Kanye West released his 2010 comeback album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he focused on the artists signed to his label. Big Sean enjoyed a breakout year and Pusha T released his mixtape during the summer of 2011.

Pusha T has since become one of the biggest rappers in the game. This year, Pusha T has watched his popularity continue to climb. Following his music last year, he has returned with music for his debut album and on the Cruel Summer album. Along the way, Pusha T has ruffled feathers. Lil Wayne felt his Young Money crew was attacked by Pusha T, leading to him dissing the Virginia rapper on Twitter.

All controversy aside, Pusha T recently spoke to Complex about his work with his boss, Kanye West, and being on G.O.O.D. Music. Pusha T said the recording with G.O.O.D. Music is not inspired by Maybach Music and other crews, instead they simply vibe off each other. Working closely with Kanye West, Pusha T has revised his music several times over this span of time. During the interview, Pusha T also spoke on his upcoming debut album, which he said is inspired by Sin City and The Devil’s Advocate, though it has no title.
