Few hip hop figures seemed as united as Havoc and Prodigy of Mobb Deep. The two have been involved in many of the biggest controversies in hip hop history. Together, the duo battled Tupac Shakur and the rest of the West Coast. A few short years later, they battled Jay-Z at the peak of his popularity, before joining G-Unit and battling old friend, Nas.

Mobb Deep going against Nas came as a shock to many. It was widely assumed they only began feuding with Nas because of 50 Cent. However, Prodigy later revealed their issues with their former partner stemmed from his truce with Jay-Z. But, in 2011, the duo ended their feud with Nas, recording several songs.

While the Nas feud was a shocker, very few ever felt they would see the day when the duo of Havoc and Prodigy would be rivals. This past April, Havoc’s Twitter began dissing Prodigy, calling him gay among other things. Even after confirming these disses, Havoc denied the beef and appeared with Prodigy at a New York Knicks’ game a week later.

Still, many felt the situation was odd. AllHipHop.com recently spoke to Havoc, who has now confirmed his diss to Prodigy and said the duo has decided to take a break to hash out their problems.
