All has not been smooth sailing for Rick Ross, as he is currently facing the return of “Freeway” Ricky Ross and now has problems with BET. Rick Ross has continued rising as the days go by, with new music and bigger collaborations. Along the way, Rick Ross managed to turn the entire roster on his Maybach Music label into stars.

Over the past year and a half, Rick Ross has been a background player, though stealing the spotlight several times. Primarily, Rick Ross has supported Wale and Meek Mill as they have gained stardom. More recently, Rick Ross has been right beside Gunplay, as his star is also rising.

However, July 2012 has been all about Rick Ross, as he plans to close the month with the release of his long-awaited album, God Forgives, I Don’t. Rick Ross has found success with his new music video, “Hold Me Back.” The video has done well on the internet, with the behind the scenes being placed on several hip hop websites, but was banned by BET, as Taj, the director of the video revealed via Twitter.

Tag commented on how such films as Menace II Society were played, but not “Hold Me Back,” on BET.
