Rick Ross stated he wanted to have artists on Maybach Music from around the world, expanding what was initially a Miami-based movement. In 2011, Rick Ross expanded from the original roster of Gunplay, Young Breed, Torch, and Rick Ross to Washington, DC’s Wale and Philadelphia’s Meek Mill. Soon, additional artists were added to the roster.

Before the end of 2011, Stalley, a native of Ohio was added to the Maybach Music roster and he has risen to stardom. Recently, Rockie Fresh signed to Maybach Music, but he has been making a name for himself for well over two years. After a decline, the Chicago hip hop scene has regenerated interest, with the veterans returning to the forefront, such as Common, Twista, and Kanye West, newcomers had their opportunity to shine.
