For nearly a month, there has been tension between Meek Mill and Chris Brown. Rihanna has made her rounds between Chris Brown, Drake, and Meek Mill. It was last month when Meek Mill’s fling with the popular songstress became public. Set to collaborate with Meek Mill, Chris Brown had him removed from the track, which led to a Twitter exchange.
Many felt Drake and Chris Brown would have a number of issues, as Rihanna moved on with him and when Chris Brown was struggling, Drake rose to stardom. Ironically, Drake played a pivotal role in the comeback put forth by Chris Brown. Frequently, the two praised each other and collaborated, saying the situation with Rihanna is in the past.
But, in New York City, all of those peaceful talks were thrown to the side when Drake and Chris Brown reportedly fought. Immediately, Meek Mill took to his Twitter to deny any involvment in the situation. Each day, a new part of the story is released and Chris Brown’s legal team is accusing Drake of being the aggressor.
Meek Mill recently spoke with XXL about the situation.
Read Meek Mill’s statement below:
“Chris and Drake, them two was there but its other people that be around that take shit to the next level. Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of shit. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.”
When XXL asked Meek if he threw a bottle during the melee, the Philadelphia MC offered two words: “Fuck no.”
“What [Brown] tweeted was just that me and Meek Mill ain’t got no problem. I talked to him immediately after that, on the phone afterwards, like immediately, like, ‘There’s nothing there, this-that-and-the-third.”
“Chris Brown be in clubs. He be around situations like this. Things get out of hand that don’t mean it’s out of hand with me and him or whoever, not even him and Drake.”
