There is much more than what meets the eye when it comes to Rocko. Many look at Rocko and deem him a one hit wonder, as he enjoyed the success of “Umma Do Me,” early in 2008. But, nearly a decade before, Rocko began his career as a ghostwriter. Rocko built a strong working relationship with many popular figures on the Atlanta hip hop scene.
Since the 2008 release of Self Made, Rocko has established his own label, A1 Recordings, and has built a powerhouse. Currently, Rocko is focused on the development of Future, who is signed to A1 and has his own Free Bandz movement. Future is also signed to Epic Records and has emerged as one of the biggest new hip hop stars.
Rocko, though playing the role of executive, is still setting out to prove he can continue making hits. Two albums deep in the game, Rocko has set his sights on the mixtape scene to build buzz. Anticipation has been high for his Seeing is Believing project, but Rocko has decided to hold off on that project until the release of #IGNANT, which he says is “coming soon.”
