Atlanta is back on top in the hip hop world, but their game is filled with a number of new players. Last year, Future emerged and began a trend of Atlanta rappers dominating the mainstream. 2 Chainz has been the most-discussed rapper from Atlanta in the mainstream throughout the year of 2012.
DJ Spinz and DJ Pretty Boy Tank have compiled a number of tracks from these new players on the Atlanta scene. The duo have returned with Space Invaders 9, with their latest compilation showcasing the new talent. Trouble, Ca$h Out, Wooh da Kid, and 2Win are among the “New Atlanta” rappers making hits.
In many ways, DJ Spinz has helped bring about this “New Atlanta.” DJ Spinz has released a number of mixtapes, breaking many artists. However, DJ Spinz was the mastermind behind the “Cashin’ Out” beat. The “Cashin’ Out” single has been a breakthrough hit for Ca$h Out, landing him in multiple hip hop media outlets.
