Though he has been forced to take a few steps back, Pill remains positive about everything going on in his career. Last year, Pill was offered the chance of a lifetime when Maybach Music Group signed an exclusive deal with Warner Bros. Records. The year before, Pill had been signed by Warner and they decided it would be best for him to work closely with MMG.

Immediately teaming up with Wale and Meek Mill, Pill, a native of Atlanta, had the biggest buzz out of the three rappers. However, Warner Bros. Records did not push Pill the way Wale and Meek Mill were pushed. Throughout the year of 2011, many wondered where Pill was. Late in the year, Pill revealed his time with Warner Bros., and Maybach Music by extension, was over.

After releasing his The Epidemic mixtape early this year, Pill is currently putting together a new project. Continuing the wordplay off his name, the latest project from Pill is called Over the Counter Drugs. During a recent interview, Pill spoke on the status of the upcoming project and he also spoke on the first single, “Fa Sum.”
