There is a new star in Harlem with A$AP Rocky. The rising emcee represents the change in times, not only just in the music industry. A few years ago, a number of New York emcees came under scrutiny for sounding like Southern rappers. A$AP Rocky has a Southern drawl in his music and is proud of it, because he says it comes from him being influenced by the number of rappers from the South.
Regardless, A$AP Rocky has proven to provide the lyrical ability many longtime hip hop fans feel has left the game. Currently, A$AP Rocky is preparing his LongLiveA$AP debut album and is making his media rounds. Thus far, A$AP Rocky has made several trips to BET’s “106 & Park” and he has been on MTV’s “RapFix Live” speaking about his upcoming work. A$AP Rocky has now paid his visit to Danny Brown.
