Three years ago, Big Boi revealed he would be taking a break from Outkast in order to pursue his solo career. During this period of time, Big Boi signed with Def Jam and prepared to release his debut album, Sir Lucious. The album was released during the summer of 2010 and was met with positive reviews.

After the release of Big Boi’s album, fans immediately wondered when Andre 3000 would return with new music. Andre 3000 returned with collaborations on comeback albums from Young Jeezy and Beyonce. Recently, Andre 3000 revealed he had his own solo music in the works, but no Outkast project was on the way.

Numerous questions remain unanswered regarding Andre 3000 and the Outkast album, but Big Boi is ready to go. With his album initially due for a 2011 release, the project was delayed until 2012. Titled Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors, the album is set for a November 13 release date.
