Over the years, N.O.R.E. has presented himself as one of the more peaceful rappers in the game. Throughout his career, however, N.O.R.E. has been involved in a hostile landscape. Remaining peaceful at all times can be difficult, especially when some will take shots, simply due to affiliation. When Roc-A-Fella Records reached their peak, Jay-Z was at the height of his feud with Nas, who took it upon himself to diss everyone signed to Roc-A-Fella and the sub-labels.
N.O.R.E. signed to Roc-A-Fella Records during the middle of his comeback and enjoyed success in 2002 with the Roc, but found himself on the receiving end of a Nas diss. Before signing with Roc-A-Fella, N.O.R.E. and Nas were relatively close friends and frequent collaborators. While he never publicly spoke on the feud between Jay-Z and Nas, N.O.R.E. felt as if he was not involved in the back-and-forth.
Jay-Z and Nas made the end of their feud just as public as their actual exchange, but the others who were involved in the issues have not quite repaired their relationship. Among those caught up in the feud includes N.O.R.E., who discussed his issues with Nas and his recent exchange with Prodigy over his My Infamous Life book. In the book, Prodigy said things about N.O.R.E., which he disagreed with.
During his conversation with Sway Calloway for MTV’s “RapFix Live,” N.O.R.E. spoke on those issues and more.
