Top Dawg Entertainment has been a silent contender, producing such stars as Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul. The West Coast label has been instrumental in the comeback Los Angeles has enjoyed. Their artists have released several classic street albums. Ab-Soul is actually fresh off the release of his street album, Control System.
Control System was among the topics of discussion when Ab-Soul visited Shade 45 for his interview with Sway Calloway’s “Sway in the Morning.” Ab-Soul has become the latest Top Dawg artist to gain stardom, here in the early months of 2012. The rising emcee has had the support of talented rappers around him and now the backing of Interscope Records.
During his interview, Ab-Soul spoke on his new album, his surroundings, and being a part of the TDE movement.
