The day-to-day life of Lil Wayne has interested many fans for over five years. Lil Wayne rose to become the most-popular rapper in the game at a time when many were looking for a new leader of the rap game. For years, Jay-Z held the title, but his “retirement” left a major hole in hip hop, as far as someone popular with both the streets and the pop audience.

From the moment Jay-Z retired, Lil Wayne began calling himself “the best rapper alive, since the best rapper retired.” However, during the retirement period, Lil Wayne did little to advance himself, with the exception of Tha Carter and Tha Carter II. After his second album in as many years, Lil Wayne began releasing mixtapes and doing numerous collaborations.

In 2008, Lil Wayne officially returned and has released a new album of some sort each year since this time. Along the way, Lil Wayne also turned his Young Money label into a true force in the rap game, to the surprise of many initial doubters. Recently, MTV News caught up with Lil Wayne, who is preparing to unleash a new website, which will show his day-to-day.
