Yesterday, Maino returned to the headlines with the formation of his new group, Black Mob (also known as The Mafia). Maino is still on the heels of the release of his second album, The Day After Tomorrow. In the time since the album was released, Maino has taken a bit of a back seat, while other rappers from New York City have held the spotlight.

A few weeks ago, however, Maino caught up with Q the Question and he spoke on his album. The follow-up to his 2009 debut, If Tomorrow Comes, Maino had a lot to say. During his conversation with the popular journalist, Maino explained a few of the tracks on the album. Surprising to many, the single, “That Could Be Us,” was one of his favorites.

Q the Question lived up to his name, asking a multitude of questions about Maino’s project. He also spoke to Maino about the process of putting together a major-label album.
