Many rappers would dream to have the early success Future had. Due to his unique style, when big name rappers heard his songs, they added their own verses to them. Future recorded his breakout hit, “Tony Montana,” in 2011 and released it right before the summer. In the year since then, Future enjoyed the success of the Drake remix and signed with Epic Records.
Lightning struck when Future landed Drake, with no effort, for “Tony Montana” and then it struck again when T.I. remixed “Magic.” Like he did with the first single, Future included T.I. on the official single and enjoyed more success. His “Same Damn Time” single has been another success, but was not initially remixed.
With Future becoming 2012’s king of the remixes, it was only a matter of time before he landed the ultimate remixer, Diddy, on one of his songs. “Same Damn Time” went untouched before both Ludacris and Diddy were added to the song. Future said he enjoyed the energy and the legendary status Diddy added to the track during his interview with XXL.
