Over the past year, Kendrick Lamar has become one of the biggest new artists in the game. Last year, he released his critically-acclaimed album, Section.80. Aside from the album, Kendrick Lamar found himself working with many established stars and coveted legends. Kendrick Lamar’s talent paired with his work ethic led to him being signed to Aftermath Entertainment.
Despite being a West Coast hip hop artist, being a modern hip hop artist means little to no emphasis is put on working with artists in the same region. Kendrick Lamar has collaborated with artists all over the map. A lot of his more-popular work has come with Harlem’s A$AP Rocky. Both rappers’ willingness to work outside of their region has made them fan favorites.
