Nearly one year ago, to the date, Future burst onto the scene and was one of many artists who managed to break through in 2011. Future released his “Tony Montana” single, which was remixed by many of the biggest artists in the game. Drake was a big fan of the single and recorded his own verse for the song and asked Future to allow his verse to be on the official single.

Hoping to broaden his fan base, Future agreed to place Drake on the official “Tony Montana” single and his buzz continued to build. Once the business was handled, Future began working on the music video for the single. With the co-sign from Drake, Future was excited about what the music video could be. However, he was greatly disappointed when Drake was not a part of the video.

Future admitted he was disappointed, but said he was grateful for Drake getting on the track with him. A few months ago, Future said from a business standpoint, things between he and Drake just did not work out. In the time since then, Drake has united with many of hip hop’s most-popular rappers, such as French Montana, Meek Mill, and 2 Chainz for his popular “Club Paradise” tour. During his recent Atlanta stop, Drake brought out Future and they performed “Tony Montana” for the first time.

Following his performance with Drake, Future spoke to MTV News about his past issues with Drake, saying they were in the past and revealing they may work together in the future.
