At the time, there were even rumors of Jay-Z re-joining the company. Instead of a New York City or Philadelphia emcee heading up the new label, Curren$y was selected as the flagship artist.

Records being more focused on hip hop, the move proved to be a good one for Curren$y. A few weeks ago, surprising news came from Curren$y when he revealed he had a lawsuit against Damon Dash.

During his conversation with Vlad TV, earlier today, Curren$y revealed he has been speaking with his former label head. While the two are battling in court, it does seem as if the personal relationship has remained intact.
