Every time it seems as if the feud between Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj is over, it returns like the classic villain who always evades death. In recent interviews, Lil’ Kim has refused to discuss her beef with the Queens femcee, going as far as calling out “106 & Park” co-host, Rocsi, for mentioning the feud. However, when she spoke with “The Breakfast Club” on Power 105.1, Lil’ Kim was discussing the history of the feud.
In 2010, as Nicki Minaj was well on her way to becoming a superstar, Lil’ Kim discussed the up-and-coming rapper, saying she was unimpressed. When asked why she disliked Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim said she completely stole her style and did not pay homage. In her earlier interviews, Nicki Minaj was always sure to point out her admiration for Lil’ Kim. However, it was not enough to stop Lil’ Kim for going after her.
Early last year, there were rumors of the two rappers meeting up on tour and finally ending their feud. These rumors proved to be false when Nicki Minaj called Lil’ Kim a liar when she said her Black Friday mixtape had gone platinum. Recently, though, it appeared both were moved on from the beef, as Lil’ Kim has been focused on recording new material and Nicki Minaj has been focused on the promotion of her album and going on tour. Lil’ Kim sat down with “The Breakfast Club” and explained the beef, once and for all.
