Nearly a week has passed since Meek Mill released Dreamchasers 2. While signed to the current hottest label in hip hop, Maybach Music, Meek Mill is still essentially a “mixtape rapper.” Meek Mill has flooded the streets, and the internet, with several releases over the past few years, which led to him signing with Rick Ross.
Last year, Meek Mill became one of the biggest names in the game. Much of his success came because of his performance on Self Made, Vol. 1 and his mixtapes released in 2011. Coming into 2012, Meek Mill revealed the year would not go by without the release of his debut album.
Meek Mill recently revealed his album, Dreams and Nightmares, would be released late in August. In the meantime, Meek Mill delivered his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape, shutting down DatPiff for hours. The Philadelphia rapper has enjoyed much success and he recently reflected on the success of his project with MTV’s “Mixtape Monday.”
