It is hard to overlook Azealia Banks, as she has made sure she is a topic of discussion. Banks, a native of Harlem, has risen to fame in the early months of 2012. Releasing a few popular tracks, Azealia Banks made bigger news for her feud with Iggy Azalea. Banks feels Iggy stole her name and style.
Iggy Azalea, a major label artist, has ignored the disses from Azealia Banks, for the most part. Recently, T.I. broke his silence on the back-and-forth between the two women, calling it “bitch shit.” Azealia Banks, upon discovering what Tip said, began ranting on him online, through Twitter.
Azealia Banks has also taken shots at Lil’ Kim, but her biggest news has come with her music. Banks has been constructing her 1991 EP for months, the project was delayed when she signed to Troy Carter for management and landed Missy Elliott on the project. Now, she has revealed 1991 will drop this month and she has a new mixtape coming.
The name of Azealia Banks’ new mixtape is Fantastic and it will be released during the summer of 2012.
