2 Chainz talks upcoming collaborations with Meek Mill and Chris Brown

The formula Lil Wayne used to put himself on top of the rap game is what 2 Chainz has used to make himself the most-featured hip hop artist in 2012. Nearly halfway through the year and 2 Chainz has already gotten on tracks with many of hip hop’s biggest names. Among the big names 2 Chainz has collaborated with include Kanye West, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross.

Perhaps 2 Chainz’ most-notable collaboration came alongside Nicki Minaj for her single, “Beez in The Trap.” After her album was released, West Coast rapper, Tyler, the Creator infamously criticized 2 Chainz’ verse. Among the things Tyler said was 2 Chainz’ verse would sound better if it were muted and Nicki Minaj continued rapping.

Despite the criticism from Tyler, the Creator, 2 Chainz has continued to gain features and he has more on the way, as he told XXL. 2 Chainz revealed he is working with Chris Brown and his artist, K-Mac, Meek Mill, and other figures he did not reveal. There is one particular collaboration that has 2 Chainz very excited, but he did not mention the name.

Before the August 14 release date of his debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz will likely release these collaborations.
