Earl Sweatshirt granted label from Sony Records, plans new music with Tyler, the Creator

Only a few months ago, Earl Sweatshirt returned from reform school. Earl Sweatshirt was in reform school while Odd Future was taking over the rap game behind the antics from Tyler, the Creator. Anticipation for Earl Sweatshirt’s release a few months ago was very high, as longtime Odd Future fans were glad to have him back.

Tyler, the Creator has also been glad to have his sidekick back and the two picked up right where they left off. Earl Sweatshirt’s work with Odd Future may soon be running alongside his new deal over at Sony with Columbia Records. According to the New York Times, the eighteen year old rapper will have his own label under Columbia, Tan Cressida.

In addition to his new record label, Earl Sweatshirt will be in the studio with his Odd Future rhyming partner, Tyler, the Creator. The duo are currently in the studio preparing their upcoming collaborative album. While heading his own label, Earl Sweatshirt wants to remain in the Odd Future loop, including their logos on all his Tan Cressida releases.
