For months, Chief Keef, a young emcee from Chicago, has been making a name for himself, being featured on several hip hop websites, including The Source. Well on his way to becoming a rap star, Chief Keef released his single, “I Don’t Like.” Little did Chief Keef know the impact this song would have on his young career.

The most-successful hip hop artist from Chicago is Kanye West. Despite there being all kinds of hip hop talent in Chicago, Kanye West has worked with them all. Many Chicago artist long for the chance to work with Kanye West. Chief Keef was fortunate to have West notice him, as he and his G.O.O.D. Music crew remixed his “I Don’t Like” single.

Also featuring Jadakiss, “I Don’t Like (G.O.O.D. Music remix)” has turned Chief Keef into one of the most-discussed names in the game. The remix has brought nothing but good to the young rapper, though the original producer of the track, Young Chops, has issues with the remix and West not showing props. Meanwhile, Chief Keef is on top of the world.

Chief Keef recently spoke with XXL about how he feels about “I Don’t Like” and the movement behind the remix. Admitting he did not speak with Kanye West directly, Chief Keef felt him remixing his single was acknowledgement enough. Not surprised Kanye West got on the track, Keef said he knows Kanye West listens to all music, expressing his distaste in some songs. In the time since Kanye West remixed the song, Chief Keef’s team has been in contact with the staff of G.O.O.D. Music.
