L.E.P. Bogus Boys blame Chicago Police Department for stopping their shows

Hip hop has been battling the mainstream for some time. Due to the new forms of media out there, hip hop is not as easily censored, but many still stand in the way. New media has produced a number of stars, including Chicago-based, L.E.P. Bogus Boys. The duo has risen to fame, discussing problems really impacting the world they know.

L.E.P. Bogus Boys feel their honesty is what has them banned from Chicago. A$AP Rocky, an affiliate of L.E.P. Bogus Boys is slated to perform in Chicago at the House of Blues on May 3 and L.E.P. were scheduled to be guests. However, the Chicago Police Department removed them from the bill, saying the L.E.P. Bogus Boys are not allowed to perform in Chicago.

XXL reached out to the L.E.P. Bogus Boys for a statement. Moonie, one half of L.E.P., told XXL the Chicago Police Department are upset at them for rapping about what is really going on in Chicago. He went on to express shame in how L.E.P. Bogus Boys cannot perform in their hometown after all of the work they have put in htere. XXL also spoke with the Chicago Police Department and they denied having anything to do with the duo being removed from the bill on House of Blues, saying they do not monitor musical acts, at most they beef up security.
