Three years ago, Jadakiss announced he would return with a new album, a follow-up to his The Last Kiss. The new album was supposed to be titled Top 5 Dead or Alive, but the album has faced several delays. Jadakiss has gone through several changes, including switching record labels.
While Jadakiss has been forced to wait on an official release date for his album, he has released several mixtapes. Last year, Jadakiss released his retail mixtape, I Love You, dedicated to his fans. Following the success of I Love You, Jadakiss prepared for another release.
During an interview with The Source, Jadakiss revealed he had another mixtape in the works. The quality of the mixtape was good enough to be an album and Jadakiss said he should charge. But, it has taken so long for his album, he would give the mixtape away for free, which is why he named the project, Consignment.
Recently, MTV News caught up with Jadakiss and he discussed Consignment.
