Right when some were beginning to wonder where he was, Rick Ross returns and ready to deliver more hits. No one has delivered a string of consistent hits, over the past two years, the way Rick Ross has. Few can claim the success Rick Ross can off a mixtape. Rich Forever was released at the beginning of the year and the music from the project is still receiving radio play.
The success of Rich Forever has made it easy to overlook how the project is simply a holdover for Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t. With the mixtape behind him, Rick Ross is now refocused on his albums and his collaborations. Many veterans have realized the primary way to remain relevant is a collaboration with Maybach Music, Usher joins Mary J. Blige and others.
Usher last released an album in 2010, releasing several consecutive hit singles. In only two years, things have drastically changed and there is a new “boss.” Currently, Usher is enjoying the success of his “Climax” single, but he wants something bigger for the follow-up. Rick Ross has been called upon to contribute on the second single, “Let Me See,” produced by Jim Jonsin.
