Yesterday, Hip Hop Vibe reported Q-Tip signing with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and the drama which has surrounded himself, his cousin Consequence, Kanye West, and Pusha T. Due to the problems with our web host, all of yesterday’s posts were removed and there was no backup. The problems on Hip Hop Vibe’s end have not stopped Q-Tip from continuing to work, however.
News of Q-Tip signing with G.O.O.D. Music spread across the internet, for various reasons, among them the issues with Consequence, who was signed to the label. With so much discussion regarding Q-Tip signing with G.O.O.D. Music, the legendary emcee broke his silence. Hot 97’s DJ Cipha Sounds caught up with Q-Tip and he explained how the deal came about and he talked about his work with 2 Chainz.
Through working with Kanye West on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Q-Tip was drawn in for Watch the Throne and soon decided to join the label. Now, with a new album in the works, The Last Zulu, Q-Tip spoke on his collaboration with veteran newcomer, 2 Chainz. Tapdancing around the rumors of 2 Chainz signing with G.O.O.D., Q-Tip said he has a track with 2 Chainz, Rasheed, and Common on the upcoming G.O.O.D. compilation album.
