Demand for a new Wu-Tang album was high and the crew teamed up to deliver 8 Diagrams right before Christmas in 2007. Following the release of 8 Diagrams, Raekwon returned to his solo career and has released two albums since then. Along with the new albums, Raekwon has enjoyed a nice comeback, collaborating with many new artists. However, the rest of the Wu has remained out of the public eye and have not released any new music.

Before the release of 8 Diagrams, six years had passed since the crew released a new album. It is coming close to five years since the release of 8 Diagrams and the demand for a new album is increasing, once again. With Raekwon releasing new music on a frequent basis and often found in the media, he has been the go-to guy when asking about a new Wu-Tang album. However, yesterday, he was not the one speaking with the media.

Rolling Stone caught up with GZA, asking him about when the new Wu-Tang Clan album would be released. GZA said the members of the crew have not been on the same page in years and he did not know if there would be another album from Wu-Tang, period. Currently, it looks like there might not be a new album from the Wu-Tang Clan, but GZA said he does not feel bad about it, looking at all they have accomplished over the past two decades.
