Odd Future, before gaining national exposure in 2011, has been releasing music since 2009, building a cult following. Many were blown away by the eccentric style of Tyler, the Creator, but it turns out the entire crew is full of their own antics. Before Odd Future gained national fame, another rapper from the crew, Earl Sweatshirt, was making a name for himself. However, his mother disapproved of his music and had him sent to reform school.
Now an adult, Earl Sweatshirt is back from reform school and focused on making more music. Earl, and the rest of Odd Future, are currently in New York City, the latest stop on their tour. Since he has been away so long, Earl Sweatshirt has yet to have a formal interview. Odd Future stopped by Hot 97 to grant Peter Rosenberg the first-ever Earl Sweatshirt interview. As stated by RapRadar.com, it was obviously Sweatshirt’s first interview.
