At least for a little while, the critics have been silenced. Following Rolling Papers, the critics have not had many positive things to say about Wiz Khalifa. Dating one of the hottest women in the public eye, Amber Rose, has also been controversial. It seems as though Wiz Khalifa has come up too fast, and has Kanye West’s woman on his arm.
Even though many label Wiz Khalifa’s debut album “disappointing,” anticipation was equally high from both fans and hip hop media. When the mixtape was finally released, several websites crashed. At the end of the day, both fans and the media were impressed with the new material.
Wiz Khalifa released Taylor Allderdice through DatPiff.com, crashing the website. On Twitter, Wiz Khalifa boasted of the success, saying such things as “yeah Tayors, we crashed that shit” and “Taylors run the internet!” Taylor Allderdice, as #TaylorAllderdice, became a trending topic on Twitter. The mixtape, which boasted features from Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa’s own fiancee, Amber Rose, was also well-received by critics and fans, thus justifying its own hype.
