Jadakiss talks Diggy Simmons collaboration and Upcoming Mixtape

Due to his lifestyle and his parentage, there are many who want to dislike Diggy Simmons, but are having a hard time doing so. Diggy Simmons has been quite successful, early in his career, but many label him as a “pop” rapper, with no real credibility. Those critics, too, were silenced when Diggy Simmons provided a history lesson with his “88” song, even including a verse from the legendary, Jadakiss.

In recent years, Jadakiss has been quite surprising. When it appeared he and his crew were preparing to go another round with 50 Cent and G-Unit, they instead made peace. The years following their beef have been filled with collaborations. Jadakiss was commended for keeping the peace, but it still came as a surprise to the people. The decision to collaborate with the young Diggy Simmons was another surprise.

Jadakiss recently spoke with XXL about, not only his Diggy Simmons collaboration, but also his work with Busta Rhymes, Waka Flocka Flame, and John Legend. There are many who have made a big deal about the track, Jadakiss says it is just business. In his eyes, he can work with anyone as long as he does not compromise himself. With that being said, Jadakiss was surprised the song came out as rugged as it did. Jadakiss credited Diggy Simmons about his popularity, how the track still allowed him to be him, while allowing him to tap into Diggy’s audience, which includes many young females in Jada’s family.

Following his upcoming appearance on Unexpected Arrival, Jadakiss will be releasing a new mixtape.
