Music has been with Diddy every step of his life. It was no wonder his first million dollars was generated from the record label he founded, Bad Boy Records. Diddy used this foundation to continue branching out into other ventures. There are several companies under the Bad Boy umbrella, so it was only a matter of time before Diddy ventured into television.

The number one complaint by music fans, about the networks made for music is there is no music available on these networks. Of the few networks originally made for music, only few of them have music and it airs during the middle of the night. A major demographic was lost and Diddy decided to find them.

Early this year, news surfaced of Diddy launching a music television network, Revolt, around the same time he revealed he was the executive producer of a documentary. The documentary recently won an Oscar. Diddy sat down with NBC’s “The Today Show” to discuss the new ventures he has in the works.
